Step into the battledome.  Let's go a generation earlier on the taijutsu styles.    I know we haven't really seen hiashi fight (outside of killing the head cloud ninja in one shot), but let's assume he's considerably better than neji from head family secrets passed down.

I think a rotation technique would help Hiashi greatly in this battle.

1. both are powerful jonin
2. both are strong and know powerful techinques
3. both have the alot of experience in combat((seeing as they both kicked ass on all those sound and sand ninjas like they were nothing, you have to conclude that they kick ass))
4.it would be a good fight

great fight, but ill go with guy.

Gai wins this.  Simply put, Hiashi cannot react fast enough to Gai speed.  It would almost be like the Lee and Gaara fight.  Sure Hiashi can release chakra from a part of his body to block a attack but he cannot keep up with Gai to keep doing that.

Same as with Neji vs Lee: Hiashi takes this, until the Gates come out.

Gai takes off the weights it over.  Its too similar to Gaara vs. Lee only that Hiashi does not have a defense as good as Gaara's.

You're right,  Hiashi's defence is a lot betterHiashi wins, his Kaiten is a shitload better then Neji's at this point in time (although he admitted Neji will eventually surpass him)

Speed destroys the Hyuuga defense.  Their defense is continget upon seeing the attack and then reacting.  They may be able to see it but are not fast enough to react.  Gai wins.

Gai wins.  Like what TreeofSephri said, Hiashi won't know when to launch his Kaiten.  And he can't constantly pour chakra out of his body.

if u consider Gates into this, TECHNIQUALLY, GAI can take PRACTICALLY anyone in the entire series as of this point......if he need be

If they touch the Chakra in Kaiten, they get burn't how can GAI get through that?

Also he has Byakugan, can that keep up with the speed? I mean look at Neji vs Kidomarou he was able to keep up with everything as if it was slow motion.

There's a reason Why Hyuuga is brandest Konohas strongest Taijutsu users.

Gai is too fast for them to react with Kaiten.  Even then the force of Gai's strike would be too much for chakra to hold back especially with Gates.
Hyuuga's keep a constant wall of chakra around them that is how Neji deflected the first arrow from Kidoumaru.  However, we are talking about a elite jounin not a arrow.  It is going to take a lot more than a small bit of chakra to change his course.  Anyway, the arrow was only inched a small bit off course.

No, Byakugan cannot keep up with speed. You are referring to the 128 divine palm that is pure filler never happened in the manga.

Basically, there style is the deadliest I will concede that point.  How can it be deadly if it cannot hit its market let alone see it.

They don't need to, remember, I said when Neji used it he was able to see quot;faster things at a slower moving pacequot;. Not only that, the Kaiten is a complete defence, meaning even if he can't, and I'm speculating, even if he can't, if gai goes through the barrier with Chakra, just like when Naruto went through Kaiten, it will damage him badly.

This never happened in the manga.

Naruto did not go through the barrier he collded with the Kaiten when it was spinning.  Hyuuga's keep a barrier of constant chakra around them to increase their defense.  It was enough chakra to move the arrow a few inches in teh Kidoumaru fight.  However, Kidoumaru said it himself that keeping that small chakra dome was like dying.  You would need to put a great deal of chakra in that dome to stop Gai but that would be too much chakra to waste.

That's why I'm saying if Gai opens the gate Hiashi would spin a Kaiten, probably rendering that Useless.

Hiashi would have to constantly do Kaiten to stop Gai.  Lee taught us this when he fought Sasuke.  What is the point of a ultimate defense when you can't use it fast enough.  Hiashi cannot keep with Gai to use Kaiten.

Hiashi has the Byakugan but Guy tought Lee

Hiashi will win

Uhh..Kaiten doesn't take long to activate...as seen by BOTH Neji and Hiashi.

Gates on the other hand, as seen By lee and gai... (gai in filler) actually takes a little bit, and there are two things you can deviate from this.

1) Hiashi won't let them just 'open' the gates, he isn't stupid, like I said, he's head of hyuuga and probably one of the strongest Taijutsu fighters in Konoha.

2) Even if he does, KAITEN.

Kaiten isn't some omnipotent technique. Gai with gates is a Akasuki level/Kage fighter.
Its been stated and proved many times that Gaara's Defense is better than Kaiten. The only possible way for Hiashi to win is to land a fatal hit before Gai removes limitations like Weights.
Gai at most will go 1 gate assuming he knows Primary Lotus.

True, but Neji or Hiashi cannot activate it fast enough when gai removed the weights.  You saw the Lee vs. Gaara fight.

Gates does not take that long to open for Gai.. He opened the 6th gates quickly during the Kisame fight.  Not to mention, Hiashi would probably be blown away as shown in the Kisame fight with the water.

You are not seeing the point.  You keep saying Kaiten but they have enough time to start it.  Gai is too fast for them to start it.  He would have hit them before they did Kaiten.
