Deidara remarked that he's surprised Orochimaru was taken down by a brat like Sasuke. That suggest's to me that Akatsuki have no knowledge of Itachi vs Orochimaru, because Itachi was even more brattier than Orochimaru...

I'm hoping for this as well, and I'd imagine a lot of other people are as well. I believe that would be awesome development and hype for Tobi.

Dei didnt know how sick oro was FAKT so he was thinking oro at full strength, Also he hasent seen oro for 10 years,

CLEARLY Sasuke's age made his defeat of Orochimaru hard to believe. Someone his age shouldn't have the ability to take down such a powerful shinobi like Orochimaru, from Deidara's point of view...

I said Itachi was an even BIGGER brat, because he faced off against Orochimaru at 11 year's old. Sasuke is 15. If they knew Itachi had defeated Oro at age 11, then his brother killin' him at age 15 wouldn't be so unbelievable...

I see the point you're getting at, maybe they considered Sasuke as ''brat'' after his complete failure at beating Itachi back in Konoha.
Whereas Itachi has basically been godly all his life, so he doesn't seem so young and inexperienced.

Hm, it is hard imagining Itachi as ever being young, but you do have a good point about Itachi having been more of a child than Sasuke was considering their ages. I suppose considering how Itachi joined Akatsuki so early on he is considered an abnormality, never really having been truly young.

Divi i made that point before when i said that people in AK don't know the full exent of itachi's power. I think itachi just shows enough for people to now he is powerful but like the databook says the true extent of his power has yet to be seen. Im willing to bet that Itachi uses MS to end plenty of fights so no one nows about his full power. Kisame seems to point out that itachi likes torturing people meaning he uses MS quite a bit.

If they don't know he beat one of the legendary three then im even more skeptical about the encounter with Jiraiya but i will not start that debate. This just my opinion.

Kishimoto is setting up a trap for us (the readers). He's drawing us in to underestimate Tobi. Tobi is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Akatsuki know a lot, but they can't know everything. Akatsuki's knowledge is what is shared between them...however, Deidara being surprised that Sasuke took down Orochimaru is not grounds for you saying Akatsuki's knowledge is low.
