Now, I'm sure that everyone has been raving about this for some time...

Hidan, indeed, seemed like an interesting character and, although he's served his purpose already, he has had no explanation of anything given to him. Nothing about Jashin, about his immortality, about his village, absolutely and positively nothing. We've at least gotten a bit about Kakuzu's past.

Even if Kakuzu hasn't been explained, we know a bit about him. We know he's at least fought the Shodai, and his fight isn't over (and if Kishimoto keeps up trends, it's far from over).

But that is not where the injustice is...

This is:Spoiler: Hidan is one of the characters that needs the most explained about him...

But we get a WHOLE FUCKING PAGE dedicated to the origin of Team 10's earrings?

Calm down, when people that are allies die in Naruto, time is wasted on their fading life. When enemies die in Naruto, time isn't wasted at all, and we're all like, quot;Oh crap let's get on to the next segment and defeat enemy X so we can complete mission Y!!!quot;.

I think Kishimoto already decided that Hidan will be a short lived character when he appeared with Kakuzu. He worship a god named Jasshin and the newest member of Akatsuki. That info is good enough.

That page was very important, you have to look deeper into the meaning.  

Contrary to popular belief, Ino wasn't getting paid for becoming a Chuunin.  She was doing certain side jobs for Asuma.  How else would she have passed?

Hidan was important for one purpose only. That is to establish Shikamaru's growth and skill.

Sasori on the other hand was a more important character. With him, Kishi had taken a step further in explaining about the bijuu, Gaara's new personality as Hokage and spotlighting Sakura as a great medic nin as she is.

I'm also confused about this. I don't think hidan is over yet either completely. Kishi isn't so absentminded that he would just leave holes in the patchwork. As for that page, it was part of the detailing of their past with asuma, with flashbacks and what not. They had a page about his smoking(though that had a bit more significance symbolically later when shika uses asuma's cigarretes)

Its very easy to see who is in the Hidan FC and who isnt among the posters.

I agree totally with the OP, i dont think basic information about his village and past is to much to ask for. When people like Zaku gets some sort of background then i think its kinda unfair that Hidan is totally glossed over.

I too wonder of the explanation of Hidan's 'immortality'.

I wanted additional information about Hidan as well, especially because he was only a one trick pony anyways, and Kakuzu said that true immortality was impossible so I was a little surprised when the manga didn't go into detail about the origin of Hidan's abilities.

But that doesn't mean I was wrong about my earlier exaggerated statement or that the thread poster has the right to bitch for no reason or neg rep me.

You aren't the only one who feels cheated when it comes to Hidan. You would think since Hidan's quot;immortalityquot; is such a rare thing in Naruto that it would be explained. We don't need long ass flashbacks but getting information about his past would have been better. Kimimaro had his past revealed and he was destined to die before he went off to the battlefield.
