Bought a 54' Super Model 52 today!

Well title says it all...  IBought a 54' Super Model 52 today! It comes home in 2 days, beutiful brite work rough paint but a solid floor and body. The nail head is in rough shape (i do have a spare 455 sitting on a stand). Im as giddy as a school girl, i cant wait to start playing again.

That engine bay is made for a "NAILHEAD"!!!!!!

My plan is to get the nail going, but if all else fails.... its not even home yet!

God intended that a '54 should be Nailhead-powered!

455 would be cool.
But, I've got to say that a Nailhead would be;
WAY COOL!

right side head is off, there is a hole in the 3rd piston back from the front. I wont see it again until sunday(I hope). 1st time with a nailhead, I would hope I can get it worked out! I am going to need some parts!!!!!

You've got a good start. Looks like a solid car, ....depending on the floor pans.
We rebuilt our 322 after two pistons came apart, after a dropped vavle. 33 years later it runs great! Good luck!

I like the rear windows, on the 4 door , that flip open like wind wings. There's not a better riding car than the big Buick.
