Why I think they had the Spoiler intro.

Alot of people are suprised by the 8 minute intro, Sasuke's introduction, that was given at the beginning of this first Episode of the new Naruto series, especially people who have read the manga, like myself. The question is why did they use this for the intro? I think I have a possible answer.

If you think about it for a second, it has been over a year since any pure anime watcher has seen quot;cannonquot; Sasuke, while those reading the manga had a far shorter period of time between Sasuke's last appearance when it switched from cannon material and his reappearance in the manga. I think the studio decided that after such a long time it was time to give the people what they want quot;Sasukequot;. And at the same time get everyone excited about what is to come in the series. I would say it is a smart move on their part, eventhough I disagree with its placement.

What are your thoughs?

Yeah, 80+ fillers episodes with no Sasuke is the only logical reason they added the Sasuke meeting as an intro for Shippuden.

I think it was there to make things interesting. Now everyone wants to know how things will lead to their reunion. I think it's a great way to start Shippuden despite the fact it might kill some of the tension we manga readers had.

Although I'll can't really comment about the placement until I see how they integrate that part later in the series, I'll think it was a good move to get everyone excited about Naruto series again.

I think the reason is -

IT'S COOL, and in fact a very awesome way of starting off the series. I never would have thought of something so good.

Me being only an anime watcher, should I watch the intro? Will it be a big quot;Blehquot; if I do? Me personally woudnt mind not seeing Sasuke(I hate the ass) but I'd like to watch as much as possible about Naruto, and the thought of waiting many months before I see the part, which is included in episode 1, is kinda iffy

Watch it and enjoy. It will only make you hungrier for the rest of part 2. It spoils some but it also raises alot of questions that will have you thinking for quite sometime.

I'm an anime only watcher as well, and try to stay as far away from spoilers as I can.

However, I did watch the first 8 minutes; and I think it's worth it.

Besides the godly drawing and animation, it's something that will get you so pumped for Shippuuden, you will hardly be able to contain yourself.

I liked it a lot specially the song they had playing.  It was the best thing to ever happen and I was like quot;YES!quot; when I watched it.  I expected it to end at the part where they just stared at each other, but they went on with the sword deal.  It was perfect.

It's a good promotion to keep the audience watching after... 2 years of crap fillers gt;.lt;

It's a good move, but I don't agree since I read the manga :p

I think they put it in there cause it would capture the attention of the people watching, telling them that quot;were back and better then everquot;. And to make you keep watching.

Yeah, the intro was awesome. It was brilliant for manga readers too.

And to tack on to that, when you count the 80+ episodes of filler and then another 30 or so eps without Sasuke in the first arc of Part 2, it only makes sense to have the whole gang (plus some new faces) at the opening to bring all of those who didn't read the manga up to speed at what the main objective is.  Also, gives those that did read the manga a pleasant surprise and a bit of a shock.  I thought it was pretty effective and I'm happy with the way it was handled.

the timing is great for it actually.....
Spoiler:
i remember how pissed everyone was waiting for sasuke in part 2 of the manga, then add about another year to that...and that would have been the anime wait.

it's great foreshadowing too, cause they still haven't really shown whats going on and there are 2 characters that anime people won't know about yet....

plus they caught my interest mroe than i thought with using that as the intro to the new anime

Thanks guys, that settles it then, I'll watch it ^^ By the time that part acually gets shown in full, I've prolly forgotten most about it

Why can't people keep it simple? They simply had a foreshadowing event (also in terms of going from the end to begining). It's not rare and it's not special, they're just being creative.

It was a great introduction to the start of the new series

I think it's just incentive for viewers to keep watching and see how things develop.  Or they could just be showcasing their animation skills.

It was a nice way to please manga readers, but get anime-only people excited too.

Very simple reasonthey had to do it to allow him in the games.
