Orochimaru is pretty much the same as Sasori and Kakuzu... like, led, against, awesome, without

For a long time, Orochimaru seemed like an awesome villian. He made the oh-so-awesome Kakashi shit his pants merely by using killer intent. He led the great assault on Konoha. He killed the Kazekage without anyone's notice. He held his own against Tsunade(demoralised) and Jiraya(drugged and weakened) without the use of his arms.

In the timeskip, Orochimaru demostrated incredible abilities to regenerate, shrugging off devastating attacks merely by shedding an old body. Orochimaru quite simply, had became the main enemy of the series(besides Akatsuki).

Here comes Sasori, whom was said to be teamed with Orochimaru.

Here's some things to be known about Sasori.

1) Appeared in the manga for less than an arc (28 chapters)
2) Lost to quot;an old useless old womanquot; and........OMFG SAKURA!!! (quite frankly Chiyo is very much near to a Sannin in terms of strength, and Sakura possess hero armour and Will of Fire)

BUT somethings to be known about Sasori

1) Sasori was implied to be on the same level as Orochimaru, and that he even wanted to kill Orochimaru, and would certainly have attempted to if not for his death
2) When you fight Sasori, a single scratch and you are doomed unless you got the antidote
3) Sasori killed the 3rd Kazekage, the strongest Kazekage in existence when he was in his early 20s
4) Sasori is said to be a genius
5) Sasori was largely giving chance, as well as being badly countered in his entire fight with Chiyo and Sakura as evident from the fact they were the perfect counter to his techniques (Sakura was perfect for breaking Hiruko, and she was the only in the world to have the antidote. Chiyo was Sasori's master, and knew his techniques)
6) Sasori claimed to have taken over an entire country (and it seemed he did possess the potential to)
7) Sasori only died because he wanted to be embraced by his parents
8) Sasori still had 2 un-used scrolls at his death

Now we look at Kakuzu..........

1) Got backstabbed by Kakashi
2) Got royally owned by Naruto after getting tricked
3) Appeared for 2 arcs and died at the end of the 2nd (30 chapters)

BUT some things to be known about Kakuzu

1) Nearly immortal with 5 hearts
2) Very smart as he was able to figure out Shikamaru's shadow techniques and form a temperory defence
3) Able to turn himself as hard as steel and withstand most attacks
4) Nearly killed Kakashi several times, though an interference always saved Kakashi
5) Badly dragged down by Hidan, who even caused him to lose a heart at the crucial moment when he was gonna take Kakashi's
6) Capable of using all 5 elements at once, and it was supposedly very strong from Hidan's statement quot;You are the only one whos survived that attack, Hatake Kakashi.quot;
7) Lived since the 1st Hokage, and probably have great experience
8) Was over-confident in his fight, and underestimated his opponents, of which I believe if he had went all out at the beginning, the outcome would have been different
9) Able to regenerate and reform with his tentacles
10) Able to use each of his heart differently, therefore making it seem like 5 enemies altogether
11) Possesses great physical strength and speed

Finally, we look at Orochimaru again. Is he really THAT strong compared to Sasori and Kakuzu?

Powerwise he could be the same yeah, we don't know yet (I wouldn't like it), but character wise I just can't see it. When it comes to his character, what he represents, etc. he seems much, much more.

While suitable and probable, I still can't find myself to accept this parallel just yet. If it comes down to that, then I'll have to, but...

There are already signs of it. For instance, remember when fighting Naruto at four-tail Kyuubi he would spew out himself and leave like a empty carcass/bushin body. Sasori : 28 chapters :: Kakuzu : 30 chapters
Just had to do that comparison because dividing them by arcs makes it sound Kakuzu was around longer

And when he lost his arms, he lost a part of his soul. His regeneration doesn't restore his soul, but his body -_____-

Orochimaru has an Immortality Jutsu, Edo Tensei, Kusanagi and Manda...yes...I think he's on their level.

Oro is the only one of these three losers to get taken out by a single enemy. Oro has been resting plenty, the other two died after staying up for 3 and 6 days straight. Oh and let's not forget, Sasori let himself be killed and Kakuzu would have had 5 instead of 3 hearts against Naruto if not for Hidan's mistake.

Ehh, it'll probably be like this with most of the villains.

1. Villain appears to be super cool and invincible.
2. Villain gets a young opponent, whom he will pity and laugh at.
3. Villain dies because of various strange reasons.

Sasori IS an immortal.

He can pretty much use anyone he's killed, therefore he had 3rd Kazekage's puppet.

And what's Kusanagi or Manda gonna do against 100 puppets each armed with a venom that would be fatal with a single scratch?

Kakuzu IS also immortal.

He can pretty much steal the power of anyone whose heart he has taken, therefore he had multiple elements.

Kakuzu also has some nasty tentacles which the great Kakashi proved almost helpless against

Not to mention he can regenerate, reform and turn a battle into a 5v1.

Yes, I believe Orochimaru is on their level.

And here was I, thinking this would be about the obvious comparrisson:

The power of a boss summon is overrated (in this case, Manda), since we've seen Akatsuki man handle Bijuu, and there's no boss summon that can match the power of a bijuu.For anyone who thinks otherwise, no, Gamabunta was losing to Shukaku.  That's why Naruto had to wake up Gaara in their fight.

I've always thought that Oro wasn't in the end on a that much higher level than these two, if at all. Or rather that these two were on the same level as Oro after all. Possibly just his mad regeneration skills gave him the slight edge.

they were all in the same level, oro was just a lil bit stronger than any of them. if there is one that is truly above the rest its itachi. why, no need to explain as theres too many threads about stupid shit like this allready. lets just read on and see it when it comes.
