I Need Help With 2 Things Please

I need to get another 455 short water pump. Is there anyone out there who makes a better than stock replacement?  If not, does the later year cars like the 76 have a heavier duty pump? I know there are 2 different diameter shaft pumps out there. Any suggestions?
Also I need to get a new Chrome Deep Double pulley for my alternator. I kept throwing the belt off at 6000 rpm's. It kinda sticks out of the one I have now so I need to get a deeper one. Who has these?
As always thanks in advance.

Joe, I might have a deep 2 groove alt pulley but it's not chrome. I'll look for it next week if you can use it.

Well Artie, right now it the only one being offered so far. Lets give it a day or two before I send you on the hunt.
When did you leave the track today?
I have your starter. And it's dirty.

I was pissed after I broke out by 2 hundredths and lost the round, came home and had a couple beers and played with my son to unwind. Been so busy putting together a replacement car for the wife that I'm pretty out of it. I was working in my friend's body shop after hours on the car to finish it, I didn't get home before 2AM one night this week.

Well that doesn't happen to you too often. Your allowed to have an off day.
Glad you found comfort with your son. Thats what it's all about my brutha.
And I can't believe how fast you got that car together for the little lady. She must be happy too.

Hi Joe,I have the aluminum dual pulley, about 4 inches round. As for the water pump,I know a good guy around here that rebuilds them and if you need it ,I have a core.BrunoD.

Hello Bruno. Wish you were at the track today.
Is that 4 inch pulley an after market pulley? I guess it would stop the belt from flying off.
Now as far as the pump goes, he rebuilds the stock ones to a higher standard?

Will that 4 inch pulley charge in the street? I'm afraid it won't.
Bruno?

i may still have an nos short pump laying around. will check later when i go to my storage bay...pete

Great Pete. Thanks.

Bruno, I updated my previous post. Thanks.

Hi Joe,I would think the NOS pump is the way to go.As for the pulley,it is aftermarket, and I don't always remember to look at these posts. So,if you want to talk to me,you will have to send me a PM.BrunoD.

No problem Bruno. I will be in touch. I'm waiting to hear from Pete on the pump.
Now as far as the pulley goes, i'm going to try to get a smaller deep double one because it's mostly a street car and i'm afraid it won't charge in street conditions. Whats your opinion?
Maybe hold onto that one until I figure out which way to go. If you can.

No problem.BrunoD.
